Laurie (Larry) Gautreau passed away peacefully at Villa Providence in Shediac on Wednesday August 29, 2012 at the age of 87.
 Born on May 18, 1925 in Pré-d’en-Haut, he was the son of the late Anthony and Dora (Gould) Gautreau. He lived most of his life in Toronto and served in the army during WWII.
He will be fondly remembered by his brother Camille, St.Joseph, his sisters Althéa (late Yvon) Dupuis of Dieppe, Doris Léger, Moncton and Lilianne (Ernest) Hébert, Pré-d’en-Haut, sisters-in-law Dorilla Gautreau, Thérese Gautreau, brother in law Léonard Gionet as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He is pre-deceased by three sisters Prima LeBlanc, Laurraine Gaudet and Marguerite Gionet and by two brothers Alfred and François Gautreau.
Visitations will be held at Dupuis Funeral Home with the Funeral mass to be held at Notre-Dame-de-l’Annonciation Church in Pré-d’en-Haut on Saturday September 1 at 11:00 am. Interment will be held in the parish cemetery.
